Day 1: Phnom Penh City Tour

Good morning! Starting at Phnom Penh and after a fine nights sleep at our pre-tour accommodation and breakfast, we Jump aboard our Tuk Tuk and ride across the city through the hustle and bustle with a mixture of old and new architecture. Take in the sights and sounds of street markets as we head towards the outer city across to the Killings Fields, one of many sites used by the Khmer Rouge. This mass grave is a reminder of Cambodia's dark past. Afterwards we head across the 21, a former high school use as an integration prison, then to the Royal Palace and back out the hotel for lunch. The afternoon sees us jump aboard a boat for a twilight river cruise along the Tonle Sap River and Mekong River, with a great view of Phnom Penh, the Royal Palace and Wat Phnom. Enjoy a bite to eat and cold beverages on this excellent first day's adventure in the countries capital.

Day 2: Phnom Penh - Kampot

8am kitted up and with our bags packed and loaded its time to venture through the hustle and bustle of some morning traffic as we make our way to the outskirts of the city (40min). We are soon out in the countryside trails as we head towards the coastline, with a mixture of road and trails passing small villages and rural farming life. Lunch each day is the famed CMT picnic lunches and a unlimited supply chilled bottle, soft drinks and snacks. We'll then ride via the coastal town of Kep “the City of Ghosts”, and then across to riverside Kampot with streets lined with old French Colonial shop-houses and cafes. Late afternoon we'll arrive to our hotel to enjoy a cold beer and relax. Evening time; enjoy the great local and western foods at the many restaurants overlooking the river.

Day 3: Kampot

Full days ride! Another fantastic day lays ahead with Bokor Mountains trails, and the thousand bends red-dirt ride that take us through a range of canals and fishing villages home to a very poor and basic way of life. Experience incredible scenery, friendly locals and many waving children always excited to see. We push along towards the beach town of Sihanoukville, with some great forested trails, homemade bridges and river crossings (always a laugh). Arriving at our very nice hotel with a great pool, and close to the local beach you can enjoy a sunset drink (or two) at the many bars and restaurants that line the white sand shores.

Day 4: Sihanouk Supertrails

Half-day challenge! We'll explore the local jungle's single trails of outstanding riding. Back at the hotel enjoy the afternoon in the popular seaside town. Grab a cold drink by the pool or head down to the beach to take in the local sights and markets.

Day 5: Sihanoukville - Koh Kong Jungle Casino

Another full day's ride with a bit of everything! Forest trails, gravel roads, sandy tracks and winding mountain roads that carve though the lush green jungle mountains of wild Cambodia, and still home to many rare species of animals including elephants and monkeys. A number of the wild rivers are still also home the Siamese crocodile! Enjoy a roadside picnic lunch as we head closer towards Koh Kong, crossing the Kah Bpow River featuring the massive 1.9km long bridge, Cambodia's longest bridge. We ride just inside of Thailand (no visa needed), and stay at the Jungle Casino Resort with a big pool and it’s own private beach. The whole resort is impressive and plush but often empty. A fun night in store as you try you luck on their tables, while taking advantage of free drinks!

Day 6: Koh Kong - Pamou

Saddle up! Today we venture into the deep and remote Cardamom Mountains considered as one of the last true wilderness areas of South East Asia. This outstanding ride offers amazing adventures. The first section of road has been paved but offers outstanding views across the mountain ranges. As we head deeper we are soon upon the Golden LB Trail, a narrow rocky trail that winds its way through splendid jungle and crystal clear streams, giving you the chance to take a dip!

Back on the main trail we'll pass through some small villages and army checkpoints, setup to prevent poaches.  Further north the Tiger Trail that takes us through some of the deepest jungle 30km long, and it’s a testing ride but well worth the challenge. Then we head north towards the Bong (red dirt) Highway, which quickly turns into a slippery mud pit when wet. This is MadMax country; home to custom-built cars and trucks designed to tackle the extreme driving conditions, and often seen stuck or broken down. Late afternoon has us arriving at our Pamou Guesthouse, which is basic but with good, clean rooms, Air-Con and Wifi. It is always one the most popular stays with CMT riders, with cold beers and great home cooked foods!

Day 7: Pamou - Battambang

Full days ride and mixture of dancing roads, river crossings, mud, bamboo jungle sections and some long straight red dirt as we'll be covering some serious km's today. Trails and some bitumen to get us into Battambang, Cambodia’s second largest city and home to many monks living in nearby temples. Enjoy our grand hotel with roof top pool. Battambang with it's old world charm, french colonial architecture and surrounding temples; it's an outstanding place for our overnight stay, offering quality restaurants and cold beers.

Day 8: Battambang - Siem Reap

Be awaken by the chanting sounds from the nearby temples. Today we ride the back roads through Battambang, a very traditional city and way of life. We soon arrive at a very special boat, a unique vessel. With bikes loaded and strapped down, we jump aboard for a 4hr journey that takes us through the river complex of canals and waterways, meandering through remote fishing villages (subject to weather conditions). We'll break from the narrow waterways into the Tonle Sap, the largest inland lake in all of South East Asia. The Tonle Sap provides most of the fish for khmer population and during the wet season it doubles in size, fed by the mighty Mekong River.

Mid afternoon we arrive at the 'Floating Village' on the outskirts of Siem Reap. Bikes unloaded we ride towards Siem Reap. But, not before taking in some local trails and having some fun, before arrive to our hotel in the heart of Siem Reap. Siem Reap is a popular hub for travellers from the around the globe whom have come to visit the awesome Angkor Wat complex, and is maze of streets and lane-ways filled with cafes, bars, craft markets and night markets! All this seems surreal after our epic adventure tackling the most incredible rides Cambodia has to offer. Cold beer could be just the thing, or a dip in this pool...or both.

Day 9: Angkor Temple's visit

The bikes will be shipped home today and most of you will have hangovers anyway, so it's into the local 'tuk-tuks' for the trip into the surreal landscape home to incredible temples which rival the pyramids of Egypt in size...and blow them away in construction complexity. You’ll be amazed! Enjoy the sites and sounds of Siem Reap with is street stalls, markets, cafes and bars, with plenty to see and do!  Then its pool/beer/party time one last time!

The end of this tour we include one night post tour accommodation at our hotel, we say our farewells and share contacts. CMT TEAM is always on hand to assist with you with your ongoing travels.
